We previously blogged about a mysterious odor plaguing residents in Pearland, Texas. The Houston Chronicle now reports the source is still unidentified despite numerous resident complaints and subsequent health effects felt by residents. Local resident, Nina Gutierrez-Garcia, said when the odors are particularly strong she is plagued by watery eyes and nausea. Since August 2015, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has received more than 740 complaints about the mysterious odor. Officials say there are two main potential sources of the odor: Akzo Nobel Surface Chemistry and/or the Blue Ridge Landfill.
While I do not currently represent anyone involved with this site, I have represented more than 2,000 similarly situated people around the country in various landfill and other environmental litigation cases regarding odor nuisance. To find out if The Simon Law Firm, P.C. can help with an environmental litigation case, contact Todd Hageman.
