WPRI.com is reporting that the Rhode Island DEM has recently sent a violation letter to the RI Resource Recovery Corp, who operates the Central Landfill, for not controlling the odors that are spreading to the Cherry Hill Road neighborhood and other neighborhoods. Jacklyn Ferri, a resident in the Cherry Hill Rd. neighborhood describes the odors as "rotten eggs" and has experienced odors on her property "about 3 or 4 days a week."
