The Zanesville Times Recorder had previously reported, and we blogged that the Ohio EPA had recently cited the Tunnel Hill Reclamation Landfill for excessive odors. Residents are now chiming in that the odors have affected their enjoyment of their homes and property. Resident Curt Guisinger said that he wasn't surprised about the citations. He said, "At first it smelled like rotten's in my house. It's affecting the quality of life my family has." Resident Steve Taylor had asked for monitors for his home but he said that no one from the health department has returned his phone calls.
