We have blogged about the Monarch Hill Landfill, and the noxious odors affecting Coconut Creek Florida residents. The Notice of Violation showing multiple odor violations dating back to May 18, 2012. According to "Stop the Expansion of Monarch Hill Landfill," the hearing date is set for December 20. As we have stated before, regulatory hearings, such as this, do not compensate residents for the nuisance they suffered by the noxious odors due to an improperly maintained landfill.
While I do not currently represent anyone at this site, I currently represent hundreds of similarly situated people around the country in various landfill and waste facility odor nuisance cases. I have also represented hundreds of individuals in landfill odor cases in the Florida Panhandle. I work with Zak Johnson of Zakariah Johnson, PLLC, who is a Florida licensed attorney and former Florida Department of Environmental Protection landfill inspector.
