The Post-Tribune is reporting that the school board for Union Township School Corp. is considering whether to file a lawsuit against the Duneland 28 Clean Fill Facility that was built more than a year ago. Since the landfill started operations, residents have complained that odors have been increasing daily, and outdoor sporting events at the school have been unbearable. In a previous Post-Tribune article, when the owner and operator of the landfill, Bill Haak, was asked for his response to the complaints of the residents and school district, he responded, "Well, it IS a dump, you know."
