The Los Angeles Times reports that an off-duty California Highway Patrol Officer John Saylor and family members were killed Aug. 28 when their 2009 Lexus ES350 suddenly accelerated to an estimated 120 mph during rush-hour traffic in suburban San Diego, before crashing. The suit, seeking unstipulated damages, was filed in San Diego County Superior Court.
