We have been blogging about the administrative action surrounding the Fenimore Landfill in Roxbury Township, New Jersey, but haven't discussed the impact on residents who live near the landfill, and the 100s of residents who have complained to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. NJ.com reports that Madeline Solano's 11 year old daughter will wake up in the morning wanting to know "why does my room smell so bad." Maureen Burke is concerned that her home is worth nothing now. Craig Karnitsky said "you can cut the smell with a knife, it's so thick. You feel like someone's tied you up and thrown you in a sulfur bag." Some residents have formed a Facebook page to help keep other residents informed.
I do not currently represent anyone at this site. However, I have a national practice and represent hundreds of similarly situated people around the country in various odor nuisance and environmental litigation against landfills.
