The Boston Globe is reporting that officials from the Central Landfill in Johnston, Rhode Island will be briefing state lawmakers on efforts to eliminate widespread odors. They are set to do so on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. New Wells and flares to collect and burn the gas causing the stench were installed after complaints were reported from people as far as 14 miles away.
