The Omaha World Herald is reporting that The county is having a $1.5 million gas extraction system installed, along with other improvements, to finally eliminate hydrogen sulfide odors that have been plaguing residents for years. The money for the improvements is not coming from taxpayers. Further, the county has agreed to pay a $10,080 fine to the EPA for failure to have a proper operating permit.
