KPUA is reporting that the Hawaii Land Use Commission has ordered the Waimanalo Gulch Landfill closed by July 31, 2012. Honolulu officials are appealing to have the date pushed back because they do not have an alternate site for a new landfill. Meanwhile, residents have been complaining about foul odors from the landfill on their properties.
While I do not currently represent anyone in Hawaii, I do represent hundreds of similarly situated people in several US states in various landfill litigation. To find out if The Simon Law Firm can help with your landfill case, contact environmental lawyer Todd Hageman.
