We had previously blogged about the efforts by Ohio Citizen Action and POWER, Inc. to bring attention to the horrible landfill odors at the Rumpke Landfill in Colerain Township, Ohio, and how it is affecting residents who live nearby.
The Enquirer recently reported what the residents are saying. Nancy Lindemood has said that the landfill odors are so bad she can't jog in her neighborhood. When she moved to the neighborhood, she did not see or smell the landfill. Now it has grown and widened and she wonders if it will affect her property values. Colerain Township Trustee Jeff Ritter calls it a "travesty for the community."
We will keep an eye on this for developments. While we do not represent anyone who lives near the Rumpke Sanitary Landfill site, we represent hundreds of similarly situated people in the United States in various landfill pollution litigation.
