The Journal Sentinel Online is reporting that Milwaukee's Department of Neighborhood Services is issuing an order to force a waste treatment facility in the city to take steps to control odors. The city has been receiving complaints about the company, Advanced Waste Services, since 2006. The odors are "sickening" and have been described as "garlicky" and "sour." The company will be required to work with a third-party consultant group to come up with a solution. If the odor problem does not stop, the city may declare the site a public nuisance.
