The EPA issued a press release announcing that it ordered Range Resources of Fort Worth, Texas to take immediate action to protect homeowners living near one of its drilling operations.

Residents have been complaining about flammable and bubbling drinking water coming out of their tap. EPA testing confirmed extremely high levels of methane, a flammable gas, in the drinking water of at least two residential wells. Testing of drinking water also found high levels of contaminates that include benzene, which causes cancer.
