EPA considering Superfund NPL for CTS plant in Asheville, North Carolina

The EPA has announced that it is starting the process to propose the CTS plant/Mills Gap Road groundwater contamination site be added to the National Priorities List (NPL). This decision was based on studies conducted over the last three years. The EPA continues to conduct groundwater well monitoring within a 1 mile radius of the CTS site. The formal decision can be made as early as March, 2011.

We had previously blogged that residents had been suffering from horrific levels of TCE pollution for years. Rather than work to clean up the site, CTS has been attempting to divert blame to some of the residents who have been affected by the long-term contamination.

I currently represent hundreds of similarly situated people around the country in various landfill and other environmental contamination cases. To find out if the Simon Law Firm can help with a TCE contamination case, contact environmental lawyer Todd Hageman.
