CTS Plant in Asheville diverting blame for contamination to affected resident

We had previously blogged that residents have been suffering from horrific levels of TCE pollution coming from the CTS Plant in Asheville, North Carolina. The EPA has been involved, along with activist groups, like Clean Asheville.

Mountain Xpress is now reporting that CTS is trying to divert the blame, saying that a small home insulation business is the source of TCE contamination that is 168 times the maximum the law allows in drinking water. Further, the owner of the small home insulation business, who is now being demanded by the EPA to produce information or be fined, is one of the residents who has been affected by the long-term contamination and had seen his own family's well water contaminated.

I currently represent hundreds of similarly situated people around the country in various landfill and other environmental litigation cases. To find out if the Simon Law Firm can help with a TCE contamination case, contact environmental lawyer Todd Hageman toll free at 1-877-767-3108, or by e-mail.
