USAToday.com reports that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration generally receives 30,000 auto complaints per year, but fielded over 10,000 complaints in February of 2010 alone. Additionally, complaints concerning “vehicle speed control” in Toyotas jumped from 39 in September of 2009 to 1,202 in February of 2010. A Plaintiff’s attorney experienced in handling such cases states that these types of complaints begin to more rapidly surface when information that has been intentionally concealed for years by manufacturers finally sees the light of day.
