The Detroit news reports on a message that was sent to Toyota by one of its executives urging leaders to disclose its sudden acceleration problems. He further cautioned that failure to do so could have an impact on business. Irv Miller, previous group vice president for environmental and public affairs for Toyota Motor Sales USA as recently as early this year, urged Toyota to advise the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) about problems with acceleration pedals. Since last fall, Toyota has recalled more than eight million vehicles worldwide for problems involving sudden acceleration.
